The Children's Home Bhogpur That they might have abundant life |
|
|
Our Mission The mission of the Children's Home Bhogpur is to see underprivileged children, especially from leprosy-affected communities, cared for, educated and morally nurtured to become well adjusted in today's world as living witnesses of our Lord Jesus Christ.
The Children’s Home Bhogpur was started in 1945 with 12
boys. Now it cares for around 610 children, mostly from leprosy-affected
parents. Parents voluntarily enroll their children in the Home at about four years of age, and the Home provides for their physical, educational, social and
spiritual development typically until they are 18 to 21 years old. Admissions are
based on need, with no discrimination on the basis of gender, caste or religious
background. The
children are cared for by a dedicated staff of Christian caregivers in a safe
and healthy environment. The Children’s Home is a registered charitable Society,
operated by an independent Board of Directors. The Home is funded through child
sponsorships, donations and grants. The
Water Project 2008 Pray for a special project in the summer of 2008 to raise funds for drilling a "tube-well" or bore-well at the Boy's Hostel. Read more at News and Events |
