Jennifer Jagerson (Teacher from USA) Alumni Testimonials"I would like to give praise to my Savior and living Lord Jesus Christ with whose grace I am living a hope-filled life. I am very grateful to Him as He has fulfilled His promises in my life. I believe God does His great works in His particular time. The Living Lord prepared the way for me when I was a little boy. At that time I was being raised in a Hindu priest (Brahmin) family. My family’s economic condition wasn’t good and my parents were also struggling with their physical health. At that time God brought me to the Children’s Home Bhogpur. After a few years my parents left this world. After this I and my younger brother and sister all became orphans. In the Children’s Home we were given good Christian teaching, healthy food, good education and other facilities. In 1983 when I completed my high school I got the privilege of attending a Christian seminar. There in the evening session I received the Lord as my Savior. Since then I am living a faithful life. By His mercy and grace I have a small family with two wonderful kids, a 14 year-old daughter and an 8 year-old son. We all four are living a happy life by His guidance. With prayers and thanksgiving, in His love, MLU, senior instructor with an international language center, New Delhi "It is always a blessing for me to share my testimony of God’s grace in my life. I grew up in the Bhogpur Children’s Home. I received many things from the Children’s Home. Looking back, the two most important things which I received were opportunity of better life and knowledge of Jesus Christ. Let me explain these further. First, my parents were lepers and so they gave me to the children’s Home when I was 5 years old. I was accepted by this Home with all love and respect. I received good food, clothes, education, parental care, friends, society and spiritual knowledge. All these facilities have helped me to be a successful and better person in society. I was even sponsored for my M.Div. studies by the home and later pursued M.Th. Today, I am serving the Lord by teaching in a seminary and am not ashamed of my past. When I look back, I see many children without these privileges. I thank God that He blessed me through the Children's Home. Second, during my stay in The Children's Home, friends played an important role in my life. I came to know Jesus as my friend first and then as my father. I received Jesus as my saviour when I was in class 10. . Today, I am committed to serving Him. I know Him better everyday by reading and studying His word and through fellowship with God’s people. This was all possible because of the missionaries and their efforts. I thank God for them and pray that many more would commit themselves for this ministry that many more children like me may be saved and won for the Lord. I request you to share your blessings with the Children’s Home. I not only thank God for all the blessings but also support Children’s Home in whatever ways I can. Thank you for investing and sharing your blessings. God bless you all and make you a blessing to many more like me. RC, Teaching faculty at a seminary in Uttarkhand My stay in Children’s Home, Bhogpur was wonderful. I was brought up and taken care of like any other child in her or his own house. I was provided with all the necessities of life during my childhood and school time. The best thing was our spiritual guidance. Prayers were held from time to time and we learned a variety of devotional songs. I can never forget the Sunday evening prayer of the young people held at Uncle Gordon’s residence. To provide us good education we were sent to different mission schools at different places where we learned to build up our lives and achieve the aim of life. During vacations, back at Home the grown up girls were given some duties like preparing meals, cleaning dormitories, etc. Though making chapattis for about hundred children was a tough job yet we enjoyed doing it. We used to have a lot of fun in the kitchen. Today I think it was the best training we were ever given as it helps us now in our married life. I am thankful to God for providing me such a beautiful Home. PG, Nurse, Rajasthan The motto of the Children’s Home is well taken from John 10:10, “I (Jesus) have come that they might have life, and have it to the full”. Each graduate of the Home has found the true meaning of the verse. The Children's Home has provided children with spiritual life, physical life as well as an abundant social life. My stay in the Home gives me an unforgettable pleasant feeling….let us keep the same love and concern for each other and share one bread and butter with the needy ones while we glorify the Mighty Lord by our lives and deeds. YM, Senior mathematics teacher and Head of Department, Haryana I am thankful to God for sending me to this Home as a child. I was three years old when I was left here by my parents. It was by God’s grace and the support of my sponsors that I was brought up here and was sent to Punjab for my education. I chose teaching as my career and turned out to be a trained graduate teacher in 1975. After teaching for a couple of months in my school, I returned to Bhogpur to teach in Home Academy, thinking that this is the only way to show my gratitude to the institution that has enabled me to be on my own. I have been teaching the very special and needy children of Home Academy since 1976. I got married in 1980. My husband has also joined Home Academy in 1979 as a physical education instructor. We are blessed with a son and are a wonderful family. Praise the Lord God Almighty, for His continual blessings in our family and in the Children’s Home. SG, Teacher in Home Academy, Bhogpur, Uttarkhand I was brought up in the Children’s Home Bhogpur. I came here when I was three and a half years old because my parents were lepers and handicapped. I was brought up in a Christian atmosphere. I learned good teachings of Jesus Christ which led me to accept Jesus Christ as my personal Savior. Presently, I am teaching in the Home Academy, Bhogpur, which is a unit of the Bhogpur Home and I also share the love of Jesus Christ with the children. I have two sons who also studied in the same school where I am teaching, Both are pursuing medical training. My wife is working as a nurse in the Children’s Home Bhogpur. Lastly I just want to convey this message that my family and I will serve the Children’s Home Bhogpur as long as we are able. SR, Teacher in Home Academy, Bhogpur, Uttarkhand I would really thank you and everyone in the campus for the hospitality and care they had shown towards us. According to my research I’ve found that most of the Alumni were happy and had appreciated whatever you all had done for us. They say it was the first time they felt elevated.
