Water Project 2008

The Children's Home, with it's partner Mission to the World (MTW), is launching a "Children's Project" to raise funds for a "tube-well" (or bore-well) at the Boy's Hostel in Bhogpur. Over the past several years there has been an increasing shortage of water in the hot dry summer months (April to June). Our plan is to drill a well, maybe 350 to 400 feet deep, to provide good clean water for many years to come. MTW is producing an informational DVD and other materials describing this project, to be used in Vacation Bible Schools or other settings. For more information please write to info@mtw.org.

Roorkee Turns 28

On July 15, 2008 the Roorkee Home celebrated 28 years since it was founded in 1980. This was a wonderful time to look back at God's faithfulness in the past, and look forward to continued blessings and progress in the future. The children performed several programs including the cultural dance shown here. This occasion was combined with a celebration of the birthdays of children born in July, and the program was followed by a fellowship lunch for the entire Children's Home family.

Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School was held for all children at each campus this year as usual. The children really enjoyed the classes, learning new songs, watching videos and picnics! In addition to the VBS, other picnics, camps and retreats were arranged during the children's summer vacation.
